The Negroni Station was originally conceived for Milan Design Week 2025, marking a new stage in our research into immersive installations. Inspired by the aperitivo - that typically Milanese moment of conviviality when people get together to share a drink and appetisers - the Negroni Station proposes a new way of experiencing this ritual. Rather than simply being served, guests are invited to compose their own cocktail, creating a moment of sharing around the station.
Beyond its service function, the Negroni Station extends the experience of an event by creating a space for gathering and interaction. By revisiting the principle of fountains, we sought to create an object that was monumental in size but light in design. Unlike traditional models, where the liquid network and structure are concealed, we chose to reveal the system in its entirety, transforming the internal mechanics into an aesthetic element in its own right. This exposure offers a new perspective on how the object works and how we consume.
